Matrix Partners Names Bob
Lisbonne General Partner
MENLO PARK, CA, June 6 – Matrix Partners (http://www.matrixpartners.com),
one of the nation’s leading venture capital firms, announced today that Bob
Lisbonne will join Matrix as a general partner later this month. Since 1999,
Lisbonne has been a general partner with Crosspoint Venture Partners.
"Bob has earned an outstanding reputation as a software industry executive
in both start-ups and larger companies,” said Andrew Verhalen, Matrix
general partner. “His management and investing experience are perfect for
our early-stage investment practice.”

At Crosspoint, Lisbonne focused on early stage investments in software and
related companies. Prior to Crosspoint, Lisbonne was Senior Vice President
and General Manager of Browser Products at Netscape. Before that he was Vice
President of Marketing at Collabra Software, which was acquired in 1995 by
Netscape. Previously, Lisbonne was Director of Integrated Products at Claris
and a co-founder of Pacific Coast Software. Earlier in his career, he was an
investment banker specializing in high technology companies at Goldman
Sachs.
Lisbonne attended Stanford University, where he earned MBA, MA, and BA
degrees and did graduate studies in Computer Science. He is married and has
two sons.
