Nick Beim, a General Partner in the Waltham office, focuses primarily on Internet and software investments. Nick serves on the boards of TheLadders.com, Care.com, Gilt Groupe, Sparkroom, Mazu Networks and OATSystems. Previous investments Nick was involved in include JBoss (acquired by Red Hat) and AppIQ (acquired by Hewlett-Packard). Prior to Matrix, Nick advised a variety of technology companies on strategic, operational and financial issues at McKinsey & Co and Goldman, Sachs & Co. 

Nick graduated from Stanford University and holds an M.Phil. from Oxford University, where he was a Marshall Scholar. Nick also serves on the board of Endeavor, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping entrepreneurs in developing countries.
